ABOUT

COPIN has been promoting French jewelry independently and freely for six generations. 150 years of expertise, history, and archives allow us to create bespoke fine jewelry projects and permanent collections with minimalist, unisex designs.

COPIN creations are crafted in the finest Parisian workshops, using recycled gold and exceptional stones. Since 2022, Alexandre Benamu, President and CEO, has entrusted COPIN's artistic direction to Sajina Dutertre. Together, they offer a modern and contrasting vision that contrasts with the world of traditional fine jewelry.

GENERATION 1 - 1870

Opening of the goldsmith workshop on rue Haudriette in the Marais district of Paris.

GENERATION 2 - 1895

Charles and Louise Tirbour took over from a distant relative and focused on the manufacture of gold and silver tableware, cutlery and cups.

GENERATION 3 - 1921

Suzanne, their daughter, married Roger Copin, a jeweler, whose workshop located in the same building merged with the goldsmith's shop.

GENERATION 4 - 1969

Michel, son of Suzanne and Roger Copin, moved the workshop to the Palais Royal district of Paris, at 161 rue Saint-Honoré, to create fine jewelry pieces.

GENERATION 5 - 1992

His daughter Anne Copin also entered the profession and continued to develop the creation of custom jewelry.

GENERATION 6 - 2022

Alexandre Benamu, a friend of the Copin family, takes over the business and combines inherited know-how with the raw and inclusive vision of a new artistic director: Sajina Dutertre.
